Four steps

From drawing to finished parts

  1. Send a drawing

A DXF, DWG, STEP or PDF is best; for simple shapes a sketch or photo will do. Tell us how many, the material and the thickness.

  2. We check and price it

We check it can be made as drawn, ask about anything unclear, then send a written quote with a lead time.

  3. Cut on the Amada

Your parts are cut on our 6 kW Amada fibre laser, then folded, welded and finished here if you need it.

  4. Collected or delivered

Collect from us in Shobdon, or ask us to arrange delivery.

Cutting is only the start

Cut, bent, welded and coated in one building

We'd rather make the whole thing than just cut a profile. Folding, welding and powder coating happen in the same building as the laser, so your job isn't passed from firm to firm.

  • Folding

Bent on the Amada press brake in our workshop, so brackets, trays and formed panels come back ready to fit.

  • Welding & fabrication

MIG and TIG welded and put together by the people who build our tables.

  • Powder coating & finishing

Deburred, prepared and powder coated when you want parts ready to use straight away.

Good to know

Questions we get asked

What do you need from me to give a price?
A drawing file (DXF, DWG, STEP or PDF) is best, plus how many, what it's made of, how thick, and what happens after cutting. For simple shapes a sketch or photo will do.
Is it worth asking about just one part?
Yes. We cut one-offs all the time. Very small jobs are subject to our minimum charge.
Who provides the metal?
Normally we do. Tell us the grade and thickness you need and we'll order it in for your job.
Can you do more than cut it?
Yes. We can also fold, weld, assemble and powder coat it, so it comes back ready to use.
Is the laser only used for welding tables?
No. It cuts our own tables and tooling, and customers' parts alongside them.
